2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced

The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.

KTM 200 Duke Spied

IndianCarsBikes.in has uncovered spy photos of a KTM 200 beign tested in Pune, India. Pune is home to automaker Bajaj Auto which owns a share of KTM. Bajag Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj had previously hinted at a 200cc version of the KTM 125 Duke in an interview with BSMotoring.

2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Revealed

Almost a year after it was revealed in prototype form, KTM has released final specifications and photographs of the all-new 1290 Super Duke R production model. Until now, KTM had been coy about the specs for its large-displacement naked bike, but we can now see what makes the Austrian manufacturer nickname the new Super Duke R as “the Beast”. In typical KTM style, the 1290 in the bike’s name provides only a ballpark estimate of the actual engine displacement.
