EICMA 2012: KTM 390 Duke Announced – Let’s Hope It Comes to North America

KTM made a big entrance on the small-displacement streetbike segment in 2011 with its 125 Duke and in 2012, the 200 Duke. Both models were popular sellers in Europe while the 200 had a successful launch in India, home of one of KTM‘s largest owners, Bajaj. The annual Hare Scramble is the culminating event of the 18th Erzberg Rodeo at Austria’s Erzberg “Iron Mountain”. The Red Bull Hare Scramble attracted 1800 entries this year from 35 countries.

Pierer Mobility Confirms a KTM E-Duke is in Development

Electric Duke joins Husqvarna E-Pilen in E-Mobility plans Pierer Mobility confirmed it is working on an electric KTM streetbike as part of its push towards electro mobility. The news comes from a presentation of preliminary revenues and earnings for the 2021 business year, confirming that an E-Duke is in development. While this is the first official confirmation of an E-Duke, its development comes as no surprise, especially after KTM’s sister brand Husqvarna revealed an E-Pilen concept last April.
