When KTM revealed its 1290 Super Duke R at EICMA, it made it very clear the show bike was a prototype. An actual production version is on its way, as recent spy photos indicate, but the actual prototype displayed at Milan still maintains an aura of mystique. KTM Signs Ryan Dungey for 2012-2013 AMA Supercross and Motocross Seasons

KTM has signed Ryan Dungey to a two-year contract to race in the 2012-2013 AMA Supercross and Motocross seasons. The deal reunites Dungey with team manager and motocross icon Roger DeCoster. Dungey and DeCoster share a connection that goes back to 2006 when the former world champion recruited Dungey for the Suzuki factory racing team.

KTM Reports Record Year, Selling 107,142 Motorcycles in 2012

KTM reported a new record in sales in 2012, selling 107,142 motorcycles. That represents a 31.9% increase over the 81,200 motorcycles sold in 2011. The Indian market helped KTM set its new record with consumers in that country picking up more than 8,000 units of the 200 Duke.
