KTM Other description

2012 KTM 450 SX-F, $7200 OBO! 2012 KTM 450 SX-f dual sport. Very Rare, Very Fast! This bike Rips! Light as hell for a 450. I am the 2nd owner. Low hours. A little over 500 miles on it. This bike is sick! Update 9-24-13. Added pics of the new rear fender and rear tail light with integrated signals. Added pic of the headlight with integrated signals (just took the old sticker off of it. Looks better). And a couple pics of the steering stabilizer. People kept asking I have other KTM dirt bikes and am selling this one to get something for the street. TOYS!! My wife says that 3 dirt bikes is too much... -) Please keep in mind this is not a fire sale. I am in no hurry and not desperate. Email with PHONE NUMBER for a reply. Cash only! Local only! No trades! I will not ship. I also just had the tail light with integrated blinkers replaced(mine died), Carb tuned and dialed, and a fresh oil change on 9/12. Have a brand new white rear fender as well. Extras..... 3.2 gallon Dessert tank Billet Kick Stand Carbon fiber skid plate (way less noise than aluminum) Rekluse Clutch New sprockets/chain Tubliss tire system (if you don't know what it is, look it up. Never get stranded with a flat again) Newer Michelin tires front and back Radiator guards(new in box, not installed) Steering Stabilizer Bar risers Heel saver foot pegs FMF titanium exhaust sytem Rear brake protector Exhaust heat shield New rear fender New tail light with integrated signals I'm sure there is more I can't remember... This is over $3000 in extras!! I have all original parts that go with the bike. Never raced. Adult owned. Synthetic oil only. Always in the garage. This is one of only two bikes (SX-f's) that were made to be street legal in 2012 through aftermarket manufacturing-- similar to a McLarren Ford Mustang. California allows for a small number of vehicles to be reproduced as performance enhanced each year. This is CA road legal with all paperwork and lic./ registration. This is the lightest, fastest street legal bike available/ hands down , no contest. And by the way - you won't find any more of these at the dealer. Has license plate, keyed ignition, lights etc. This KTM is really more for the expert rider- please if you don't have much experience or don't understand the value of this bike please do not waste my time. This has none of the normal power restrictions placed on other street legal enduros and additionally has none of the added weight. The power to weight ratio is increased by about 20%. This will go to the first person with cash- no other method of payment will be accepted Thanks $7,300.00 4153502693

Report: KTM 390 Duke to Launch at EICMA

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

KTM and Bajaj Auto will launch a new 375cc member of is entry-level Duke lineup, reports Indian site Zigwheels. Previous reports had KTM developing a 350 Duke as an extension of its 125 and 200 Duke (pictured above) family. The 350 Duke was also listed on a leaked Powerpoint slide from a North American dealer meeting we published in February, so this new model may be the first of the small-displacement Duke family to make it to the U.S.

Splashing through the summer on my RC8R

Wed, 18 Jul 2012

For sure the wet summer has curtailed my intentions of using my RC8R at every opportunity. That said I've had a fair amount mixed weather track time around the UK which has helped me bond with the big KTM. I've found riding at tighter twistier tracks like Oulton and Knockhill are more satisfying as the low down grunt and quick handling means you can stay with pretty much anything.
