KTM Other description

2011 KTM 250 SX-F, Light, flickable, hydraulic clutch and ready to rip for under 5k. Power Yamaha In sublimityWhen you have a bike in your range like the 250 SX-F, which has been the dominant force in the World Championship MX2 class for years, then it would be very easy to just sit back and carry on as before. Luckily, however, that's not how things work in racing, or at KTM for that matter. That's why the new 2011 generation is being launched with a completely reworked chassis, new bodywork and the next stage in engine development with fuel injection.

My dream bike for 2013: The KTM 250GPR

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

I never really know when I’m asked what my dream bike would be but should Camelot shine on me this Saturday I know what I want at the moment, the KTM250GPR. At around £45,000 and with only 49bhp the Austrian firms over the counter Moto 3 racer for 2013 might not sound that appealing but I beg to differ. For starters they look stunning so I’d never get bored of looking at it in my garage but the technical spec and potential fun of taking one to a race track is what really turns me on. Far from being some motocross engine shoehorned into a steel trellis frame the 250GPR is just a small step down from Sandro Cortese’s world championship winning Moto 3 machine.

KTM Reports Q1 2014 Sales Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

KTM reported a record year in 2013, but the Austrian company does not appear to be slowing down in 2014. KTM claims sales of 32,994 motorcycles over the first three months of the year, an impressive 26.8% increase over the same period in 2013. Considering KTM sold a record 123,859 all of last year, the impressive start bodes well for another attempt at a sales record in 2014.

KTM Developing 500cc and 800cc Twins

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

After setting a new company record for motorcycle sales on the back of small displacement models like the Duke line (like the 390 Duke pictured above), KTM is turning its attention to mid-sized models. Speaking with Overdrive.in at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer says the company has 500cc and 800cc parallel Twin engines in development, with new models expected to enter production within three years. The new mid-sized models will be produced in India for the Indian market to avoid the country’s stringent import duties.
