KTM MC-5 400 description

1978 KTM MC-5 400. I bought this 2 years ago and thought I would have some time to ride
it but that's not going to happen. Had Chicago J. do some head work to tame the beast down
but I still have not even started it, but he has and he rode it.
Chain, tires, brakes all seem good. I have installed new fork seals, air filter, rebuilt both petcocks,
new seat cover, chain case saver, new grips. Will give a bill of sale, has no title.
It has a factory side stand on it but you can see from the pictures that I don't trust it.

125, 200 Duke Models Drive KTM Sales

Fri, 30 Mar 2012

KTM is off to a strong start in 2012 with a 19% increase in motorcycle sales, thanks in large part to the popularity of its 125 Duke and 200 Duke. The Austrian manufacturer says the two small capacity streetbikes form a large portion of the 8300 units it has sold so far in 2012. Based on those numbers, KTM claims it leads all European manufacturers in sales over the first few months of the year.

Dakar is an international, bad-ass, multi-day off-road event and if you’re not a fan you should be. Crossing the borders of Argentina, Bolivia and Chile the route takes motorcycle and ATV competitors through more than 5400 miles of extreme riding conditions. Competing cars and trucks go even farther.

KTM Fines MX2 Factory Racer Jeffrey Herlings for Bad Behavior – Video

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

KTM has issued a fine and a warning to its own factory motocross racer Jeffrey Herlings for “certain behavioral issues” from the past two MX2 World Championship rounds. Herlings currently leads the MX2 World Championship standings, winning five of seven rounds including eight of 14 motos. KTM did not specify exactly what Herlings did, but the tipping point was dropping the F-bomb on live television in a post-race interview.
