KTM EXC description

I am selling my son's 2002 KTM 520 EXC because he recently purchased a KTM690 enduro. This bike is in great condition with new Dunlop 606 tires front and rear. New brakes front and rear, the engine was recently torn down and had a whole new top end put in it by Thumper Racing, a well known engine shop in Arizona. The parts list for this rebuild is extensive and I will be glad to provide this $2800 receipt from February of this year. I recently refurbished this bike for visiting cousins to ride with him over the summer. They have come and gone, and now its time to sell this second bike.

The bike has about 100 hours on the new engine and runs like a dream. Bike has the large desert tank on it and is fully street legal with a bright headlight and all LED turn signals. The bike also has a vapor trail computer giving you lots of information from engine temperature to speed, to miles it even records max temp and max rpm. Bike also has an upgraded stator and heavy duty flywheel. I have all documentation including the original invoice and all invoices of parts and labor.

Questions? Please ask! Thanks for looking.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days A Rousing Success

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

AMA members and motorcyclists from across the country celebrated the people, machines and sport of motorcycling at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, over the July 19-21 weekend. The annual gathering of tens of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts participated in vintage racing, took in numerous bike shows, met their motorcycling heroes, purchased vintage parts and motorcycles in the massive swap meet, spent time with old friends, and met new ones, all at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The AMA and the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, extend their appreciation to AMA members, racers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers, fans, clubs, companies and others who supported the three-day celebration of motorcycling’s history and heroes.

KTM Moto3 Valencia Test

Fri, 03 Feb 2012

While MotoGP factory and satellite teams held their first pre-season tests this week in Malaysia, KTM held its own test for nine riders in the new Moto3 class earlier in the week in Spain. While the premiere class’ new 1000cc engine displacement limit and Claiming Rule Team entries draw the most attention, we can’t forget MotoGP isn’t the only class in the World Championship seeing changes for 2012. The new Moto3 class also debuts this season, replacing the old 125GP class.

EICMA 2011 Preview: 2012 KTM 690 Duke

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

KTM has released a video teasing its redesigned 690 Duke, which is set to make its debut at the 2011 EICMA show. The 2012 690 Duke will be powered by what KTM claims is the world’s most powerful Single-cylinder engine in production, with output expected to be close to 70hp. Updates include a side-mounted exhaust instead of the previous version’s underslung silencer, ABS, ride-by-wire throttle and weight savings from a new manufacturing process for the structural fairing and subframe.
