For sale is my 2000 KTM 250 2-stroke on/off road. Second owner, I've had this since 2008 to relive my delinquent youth and terrify the neighbors with their Harley's and golf carts. As it turned out, I hardly road it at all, always something else needing to be done. I'm in my 60's now and retired and in the process of downsizing so it's time to get rid of some of the toys. The bike does have a couple issues that I'm aware of, those being leaking forks and a front master cylinder that needs rebuilding. 'Got all sorts of new plastic including a 4.5 gallon tank and a complete new wheel set, thinking I was going to license it for the street. Also have a new expansion chamber and hydraulic lift stand I'll throw in with the deal. serious bidders please. 2013 AMA Supercross Daytona Race Report
Mon, 11 Mar 2013Ryan Villopoto won his fifth main event race of the year at Daytona to take over the lead in the 2013 AMA Supercross championship standings. The win is the third at Daytona in the Monster Energy Kawasaki racer’s career, matching the totals set by Bob Hannah, Mike Kiedrowski, Jeremy McGrath and Chad Reed. Only Ricky Carmichael, who designed the sand-based Daytona track, holds more Supercross wins at Daytona with five victories.
EICMA 2012: KTM 690 Duke R Brings Out Your Inner Hooligan
Wed, 14 Nov 2012The biggest news from KTM at the 2012 EICMA Show was the unveiling of the new 390 Duke and a prototype of the upcoming 1290 Super Duke R. In between these small and large naked bikes, KTM announced a new R-spec version of its middleweight 690 Duke. The 690 Duke was introduced in 2007 and received a substantial update last year with a 690cc engine claiming 67 hp, leading KTM to call it the world’s most powerful Single in a production model.
KTM 200 Duke, 350 Duke Announced … But Only for Emerging Markets
Wed, 13 Jul 2011According to reports out of India, KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer has announced the Austrian manufacturer will produce 200cc and 350cc versions of its youth-oriented 125 Duke. Unfortunately for us in North America, the two new Dukes will appear destined for emerging markets such as India, Brazil, Thailand and Malaysia. Speaking with the Indian press, Pierer says KTM is partnering with Bajaj Auto to develop the 200 Duke in 2012 with the 350 version to follow in 2013.
