1998 KTM 380 EXC The iconic KTM 380's are becoming harder to find. This bike, not only is in great shape, but has recently been restored from the frame up. Frame was stripped and powdercoated factory grey, engine top and bottom end were professionally rebuilt, including all bearings and bushings replaced as necessary, clutch pack, fork seals, and chain were replaced as well. The plastics were upgraded from the 1999 to 2003 style, including the rear subframe. Bike is in great shape and is ready to go for many years. The explosive power of the 380 engine is unlike any bike KTM has built. Know for its incredible powerband, yet low end power, the KTM 380 is an excellent choice for any rider. I will ship this bike only if buyer pays for shipping. I can provide the bike in a shipping crate, to be picked up by the shipper. KTM Presents 250cc Moto3 Engine
Thu, 06 Oct 2011KTM revealed its new 250cc four-stroke engine that will be used in the Moto3 World Championship which is set to replace the 125cc class in 2012. The single cylinder engine is all new and not a repurposed motor from KTM‘s 250cc offroad engine portfolio and is said to weigh just 55 pounds. Official specs were not released, but Moto3 regulations dictate a maximum bore of 81mm, a rev limit of 14,000rpm.

Fri, 04 May 2012If the weather over the Jerez Moto GP weekend was dull then the atmosphere in the press room was the complete opposite. After the carnage and chaos during the Moto 3 race, the amazing Romano Fenati (in only his second GP) had the Italian journalists celebrating as he crossed the line to win. I smiled as they simultaneously began singing ‘Y Viva Espana’ as if to signify the end of Spanish dominance in the junior GP class.
Ryan Dungey Propels KTM to First AMA Motocross Championship
Fri, 24 Aug 2012The combination of racer Ryan Dungey, team manager Roger de Coster and the KTM 450 SX-F has delivered KTM its first ever 450 AMA Motocross title. Dungey rebounded from a first-lap crash in the opening moto at Unadilla Raceway to sweep both motos and clinch the 2012 AMA Motocross championship. The sweep gave the Red Bull KTM factory rider 450 points on the season and an insurmountable 113-point gap over MotoConcepts Suzuki‘s Mike Alessi.
