The 10th Annual KTM Adventure Rider Rally took place September 13-15 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Hundreds showed up to the Steamboat Grand Hotel to enjoy a weekend of KTM activities, including appearances from KTM factory riders  Andrew Short, Mike Brown, Kurt Caselli and Mike Lafferty, plus technical and riding seminars, self-guided rides, demo rides, games, camaraderie and more. Ryan Dungey Propels KTM to First AMA Motocross Championship

The combination of racer Ryan Dungey, team manager Roger de Coster and the KTM 450 SX-F has delivered KTM its first ever 450 AMA Motocross title. Dungey rebounded from a first-lap crash in the opening moto at Unadilla Raceway to sweep both motos and clinch the 2012 AMA Motocross championship. The sweep gave the Red Bull KTM factory rider 450 points on the season and an insurmountable 113-point gap over MotoConcepts Suzuki‘s Mike Alessi.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto dominated the 450SX Class on Saturday night in front of a record crowd in Oakland, CA.   In front of a record crowd of 46,896, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto raced to his second-consecutive AMA Supercross victory, an FIM World Championship, 450SX Class Main Event win at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, CA on Saturday night. Rockstar Energy Racing’s Davi Millsaps finished in second, and Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey followed in third.
