2015 KTM 1190 Adventure R from Richard Rawlings personal collection with only 95 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage. The KTM Adventure R is the epitome of the Dual Sport Desert Racer immortalized in such events as the Paris-Dakar Enduro Race and the Baja 1000! If you’re looking at this bike you know of the legendary enduro racers to come from the heritage of such races as the 6 Day Trial Enduro that introduced Americans to the first Penton Enduro Motorcycles later to be known as KTM here in the US. Richard has always wanted one of these and has loved this bike outfitting it with the aluminum skid plate but alas, 95 miles in a year is not what this bike was designed for! US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
KTM 390 Duke Confirmed for US for 2014
Mon, 11 Feb 2013KTM has confirmed the 390 Duke will be brought to the American market for the 2014 model year, making it the first of the Austrian manufacturer’s small-displacement single-cylinder naked models to arrive in the U.S. This timeframe would put the 373cc Duke a year behind the 2013 launch date from a leaked Powerpoint presentation slide that said it would be available in the U.S. for the 2013 model year as a 350 model.

The KTM Brabus 1300 R is naturally based on the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO supernaked and equipped with a V-twin LC8 engine with a volume of 1301 cm³, giving 180 hp and 140 Nm of torque.The motorcycle received a new and fairly recognizable body kit, new optics, unique forged 9-spoke Monoblock Z wheels, a direct-flow exhaust, a custom-made heated seat and the mass of milled elements.The KTM Brabus 1300 R 2022 will be produced in the amount of 154 pieces (77 for each color) and is estimated by the manufacturer at 39500 ˆ. Only Europeans and South Africans will be able to order the novelty.
