Kawasaki Vulcan description

2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT. This is my personal bike and I have owned it for 3 yrs. It's been flawless in every way, but I am finding myself riding the Harley more often, so this 1 needs to stop collecting dust. 19,200mis as of today Never wrecked or down. Clean and Clear Texas Title in my name$4950 current KBB value (see below for additional upgrade $$)This 1 has lots of upgrades Memphis Shades front wind screenw/ Chrome brackets $315 Upgraded Corbin, faux leather covered seat $415 Rear passenger back rest $225 (OEM Vulcan line of products) Cobra Floorboards $350 Kawasaki OEM Vulcan Saddlebags $325. These are semi-rigid bags with a ton of storage capacity. Heavy duty and designed to take the abuse. Plus they are embossed with the Vulcan logo and it looks really clean. Chrome Kawasaki parts (small things, light covers, covers etc) Kuryakn Soft Grips $145.00 Cruise Control $75 Warmed handlebar grips (not shown in the images, but they are included) $275 FULL FACTORY WARRANTY EXTENSION for the next 23 mons. This is the "Cadillac" of warranties and extends the Kawasaki Warranty through October of 2015. In fact, the warranty is better than the factory warranty. The only thing that it does not cover is tires, batteries, brake pads, and belts. Everything else is covered. You pay $75 to transfer it, and $25 deductible. You can use this at any Kawasaki dealership, or any independent shop. If you take it to your own shop, you have to get pre-authorization for repairs. I have pre-owned it once on a $920 electrical repair, and they paid it without any question. I paid $1495 for the warranty when I bought the bike, and it's worth every penny. All of the upgrades are well over $1500 or more. I am practically giving this bike away. I know you don't get your money back on the upgrades, but it takes this standard bike to a full-blown highway cruiser. It's setup to really get out of town for the weekend. I have the bike priced $1900 under KBB plus the upgrades are essentially free. So this is a smoking hot deal. Do some research before making an offer, I don't mind offers but be serious about it. Trades are fine. Trades should be worth around $4000 or up to $10,000 and I'll throw in some cash. Consider this: KBB price: $4,950 Extras & Upgrades: $1,675 Warranty: $1500 (est) This bike, at your local dealership would run you close to $8000 plus TT&L out the door. So I've got it priced out around half of what you'd expect to pay at your local friendly dealership. : -) I can ship or deliver anywhere in the country. Or I'll pick you up at the airport and you can ride it home. Current registration, inspection and tags. 512-222-XXXX. I am fairly particular about what kind of payment I will accept. I have been screwed too many times by shifty payment methods, so if you are unsure call or email prior to bidding. Do not assume that I will accept a certain type of payment. My preferred method of payment is cashiers check, sent overnight. Shipping is easy, I have never had a problem getting bikes anywhere in the country and have shipped successfully across the globe several times. You will be impressed with this bike. It is way better than a Shadow 750 for less money. Thank you for your time today, I appreciate it.

Kawasaki Issues Recall on Unauthorized Concours 14 Police Models

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Kawasaki announced a recall on 44 2012-2013 Concours 14 potentially faulty motorcycles allegedly converted for police use without the manufacturer’s consent. Back in early 2012, Kawasaki announced a recall on 278 2009-2012 Concours 14 police motorcycles because the add-on equipment installed by Idaho-based Beaudry Motors suffered electrical problems. According to the recall documents, the electrical system installed by Beaudry could overload the charging circuit between the regulator and the two batteries and eventually blow the main fuse.

2014 AMA Supercross – Daytona Results

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Ryan Villopoto was dominant in Daytona, leading all 20 laps to win his third race of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki ride strengthened his hold on the 2014 AMA Supercross championship lead, padding his lead over Red Bull KTM riders Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen. The reigning three-time champion was far and away the fastest racer on the Daytona International Speedway infield, posting lap times more than a second faster than anyone else.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.
