2001 Honda XR (2001)
The Honda XR400R was built with the serious off-road enthusiasts in mind! This 2001 Honda XR400R has been well maintained, starts right up and runs great. There are some scratches from offroad use, but the bike is in overall very nice shape (see detailed pictures). The bike is all stock with the exception of aluminum bars, aluminum skidplate, the XR’s Only Competion Exhaust and a Mikuni Pumper Carburetor ($400 extra!). The Accelerator Pump Carburetor not only makes the XR400R a one-kick start performance-minded machine, but it also eliminates the very noticeable flat spot that exists right off the bottom of the powerband. This is the carburetor that should have been on the XR400R from the factory! These bikes are getting harder and harder to find and this is your chance to pick one up for a great price! The XR is a slim, nimble handling bike with outstanding steering, air cooling and is the choice of 90 percent of adventure tour/off-road rental companies for a reason. But unlike the current parallel-twin Ninja 400, which is essentially a budget bike dressed in sportbike clothes, this newest model is worthy of the ZX prefix, as it boasts proper suspension, twin radial brakes, a full electronics suite, and chassis geometry inspired by its ZX-6R and ZX-10R siblings – oh, and let’s not forget – a compact four-banger that will rev to over 15,000 rpm!
