2012 KAWASAKI VULCAN 900 CLASSIC, The Heart of Cruiser Soul It's called classic for a reason: it draws on styling cues from days when everybody who was anybody had a muscle car, 8-tracks pumped out the tunes and a low-slung motorcycle turned heads. The Vulcan 900 Classic is definitely the bike to get noticed on, with its spoke wheels, low-slung seat and chrome dual slash-cut mufflers. And for those looking for an even more distinctive look, the Vulcan 900 Classic Special Edition exudes badass with a new for 2012 black-out treatment on the forks, fender struts, air cover, engine covers and cases and cylinders and valve covers. A beautiful two-tone Pearl Meteor Gray / Polar White paint job is enhanced by a checkered flag pinstripe. Completing the Special Edition look are chrome pipes and whitewall tires, for the ultimate in retro flair. Its powered by a 903 cc engine, just like its 900 Vulcan brethren. This powerplant offers excellent performance and smooth roll-on acceleration. Rider floorboards complete with a heel and toe shifter enhances rider comfort. Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.

Anthony West Can’t Afford to Pay to Race MotoGP, Mulls Retirement
Fri, 27 Jan 2012The 2012 MotoGP season is still months away and the world championship has already lost an entry, as veteran Anthony West announced his withdrawal from the series because he cannot afford to compete. The 30-year-old Australian racer was included on the provisional 2012 MotoGP entry list to compete for the Speed Master team on an Aprilia CRT machine. But with the official pre-season test at Sepang, Malaysia, coming up next week, West says he will not race because teams are asking riders to pay too much to race for them.
