To keep the engine’s performances to a high level, Kawasaki uses its first fully electronic throttle actuation system which enables the ECU to control the volume of both the fuel (via fuel injectors) and the air (via throttle valves) delivered to the engine. The engine is paired with a six speed transmission. The 6th gear is an overdrive gear, contributing to better fuel economy when cruising at motorway speeds. Another interesting feature offered by the Kawasaki VN1700 Voyager is its K-ACT ABS system which offers a strong stopping power regardless of the road conditions. As far as practicality goes, the bike is equipped with a 50 liter lockable top box, 38 liter sealed top-opening sidebags and lockable glove boxes. Financing is available with approved credit! |

WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.

A young boy when the late 70′s show made its debut on the air, I thought it was extremely cool to be on the California Highway Patrol, but especially so while riding around on a Kawasaki 1000. Erik Estrada even had a cool name and car on the show, going by ‘Ponch’ and driving a Firebird.
