And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. Combat mask: Kawasaki has upgraded the Ninja 650

Now the Ninja 650 is stylistically similar to the Ninja 400, the ZX-6R, and the 'one-liter' Versys. The optics are LED, the visor is narrower and higher. The second upgrade is a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument panel that can connect to a smartphone via the Rideology app.

Kawasaki Special Edition Ninja Unveiled

In addition to Metallic Diablo Black, Sunbeam Red and Candy Thunder Blue, the 2009 Ninja 250R will be available in a Special Edition Lime Green and Metallic Diablo Black combination. The great-looking paint scheme of the new Special Edition Ninja 250R which features Kawi green with black side panels, echoes the MotoGP ZX-RR.
