Kawasaki Vulcan description

2010 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT, While style is different from one bike to another, user-friendliness has the same source and thats the 903cc (55.1-cubic-inch), liquid-cooled, SOHC, four-valve per cylinder V-twin motor. Fueled through an EFI injection system with 34mm Keihin throttle bodies, this delivers 58.2 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm so theres plenty of grunt to work with long after learning how to ride. Fuel Consumption in this case is anything but a killer so theres no sixth gear overdrive, just a five-speed tranny helping at keeping things lively down the open road. The biggest majority of cruisers (be them classics or customs) have lately began featuring belt final drive, so Kawasaki also adopts that for their Vulcan 900 lineup. This ensures quiet working, smooth power delivery and requires little maintenance as well.None of the small and fairly nimble Vulcans weigh more than 660 lbs with all liquids included and the 26.8 inches seat height (27 inches on the Custom) allows for short sized riders and females to easily get accustMUSTANG SEAT,HIGHWAYBARS AND FOOT PEGS,PASSENGER FLOOR BOARDS,COBRA LONG SHOT EXHUAST

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

Early this year, thousands of drag racers chased the dream and entered Kawasaki’s nationally-promoted “Zero to Hero Challenge,” hoping for the opportunity to face-off against multi-time champion Rickey Gadson and take home a new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. Beginning this week, Speed and Fuel TV will broadcast the Zero to Hero Challenge across several time slots. Both cable networks will treat viewers to an inside look at the process all contestants went through on their way to challenging Gadson on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip in May.

2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 Traction Control [video]

Thu, 29 Oct 2009

With the new Concours, Kawi created its first traction control system. Unlike the ABS, the rider can disable or enable KTRC, and can do so on the fly. The new TC system isn’t level selectable, like, say, Ducati’s DTC, and it isn’t intended to allow a rider to go faster on their Connie.

V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone. The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.
