Kawasaki Vulcan description

2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic, Its called Classic because this is how riders did it back when they rolled their own: A flat handlebar sits in custom clamps atop distinctive forks that hold a tall, slender custom-looking front wheel. A bobbed (as in shortened) rear fender perches over a fat tire, and cool, clean components fill out the middle including a rumbling fuel-injected 903cc V-twin exhaling through dual slash-cut exhausts, a low gunfighter-style seat and forward-mounted footpegs complete its rakish image.

The sport of drifting in the car world has been entertaining motorsports enthusiasts for years, spawning national race series across the globe.  And this genre is now gaining a foothold in the motorcycle world. The Ninja is ridden by Nick “Apex” Brocha, smoking his ZX’s fat rear tire against the RX at Sandia Motorsports Park in New Mexico.

Laguna Seca Superbike race: 1979

Tue, 09 Nov 2010

Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.
