Kawasaki Vulcan description

2009 Kawasaki EN500C9 500cc Vulcan.  Last year made.  EX500 Ninja engine from factory.  8996 original miles.  Very smooth and reliable.  Rock steady mirrors at interstate speeds.

Complete renovation and cleaning Winter 2015 (not a rebuild), including:
Clean and polish, lube and adjustment of all systems - brakes, cables, electrics, chain, forks, all fluids.
Any parts needing replacement are original equipment.
New matching tires front and back with balance.
Good paint - no major scratches or discoloration.

Includes 4 keys, factory owner's manual and original, complete tool kit.  Really!
Includes Chrome rear luggage rack with removable locking trunk.
Includes Saddlebags with chrome racks and hardware.  So you can change the look of the bike.
Full cover.
No tears or wear on original seat.
Many spares, including electrics, handlebar switches, rear brake assembly and others.

Clear title, located near Knoxville, TN.

Great bike for around town, work or beginner.  Excellent mileage.  Other photos available by request.

$200 deposit through Paypal within 48 hours of auction end required.  Remaining balance due upon pickup/meet by bank draft or cashier's check only.  If meeting, buyer agrees to pay .25per mile round trip.  Bike will be transported by trailer up to 200 miles of Knoxville.  Example: 200 miles x .25/mile = $50.00 x 2 (roundtrip) = $100.00 at meet, cash only, unless agreed to beforehand.

I bought and reworked this bike to be a weekend rider around the backroads of Tennessee, and it is a great bike for that.  Good mileage too.  But I recently purchased a used Gold Wing that is my current ride of choice, so the Vulcan is sitting too much.  Not good for any bike.

Everything works and it starts right up.  Ready to ride any distance right now.

PS - the sticker on the side covers is a Vulcan salute (Spock) in White film.  Can be removed, but looks unique.

2023 Kawasaki KX450SR Special Racer - First Look

Tue, 04 Oct 2022

Showa me the money I was all Pavlov dogging when I read that the KX450SR “features elite-level racing components, special tuning and design elements inspired by the Monster Energy Kawasaki race team,” only to suffer slight cotton mouth when I learned that consists of nothing more than new SHOWA suspension components front and rear. I mean, obviously great suspension is critical to motorcycles that leap 40 feet into the air, but I felt like I was led to believe there’d be more. In fact, the rest of the 2022 package was already so blinged out, there wasn’t much more Kawasaki could add.

Fri, 11 Dec 2009

UPDATE: Full Review now available on Motorcycle.com Almost forgotten among a group of new high-profile sportbikes is the new Kawasaki Z1000. After having ridden it yesterday in the twists and hills of the Central California coast, I’m here to tell you that this is a real-world sportbike to be reckoned with. Forget the old Z1000.
