Kawasaki Vulcan description

2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD, PERFECT FIRST BIKE - THE 2007 KAWASAKI VULCAN 500 LTD IS A SMART CHOICE FOR VALUE-MINDED RIDERS. Cruiser style and affordable transportation. Kawasaki’s Vulcan 500 LTD is an excellent motorcycle for first-time buyers seeking entry to the cruiser lifestyle. With a low seat height, friendly power delivery and affordable purchase price, the Vulcan 500 LTD makes it easy to develop those all-important riding skills. Though it is compact and easy to ride, the Vulcan 500 LTD’s ample power and comfortable accommodations mean more experienced riders will still enjoy it practicality, efficiency and reliability as a transportation tool. Based on the same engine that powers the Ninja 500R sportbike, the Vulcan 500 LTD’s engine helps this cruiser outmuscle its competition. Its twin cylinder powerplant provides predictable torque delivery for boulevard cruising, while still offering plenty of extra muscle for highway trips. It takes more than an excellent engine to make a great motorcycle, so the 500 LTD’s chassis is equally user-friendly. A long and low steel frame contributes to its classic cruiser looks, and with a saddle that’s just 28-inches from the ground, it puts just about any size rider at ease. As for style, the Vulcan 500 LTD’s nod to the custom crowd includes a stepped seat, bobbed rear fender, tank-mounted speedometer and chrome-plated wire-spoke wheels. Check out this fresh trade-in. This 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD has a low 3636 miles and is in really good shape. It runs, rides and shifts just fine and is ready to ride today. It has never been down or dropped and still looks like new. This is a perfect first bike or is a great choice as a gas sipping commuter. Get down on your knees and play

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.
