Kawasaki Vulcan description

This is an adult owned, garage kept motorcycle in excellent condition.  It has almost a $1000 in added accessories.  Extended windshield, foot pegs, driver backrest,  luggage rack, leather tool pouch and Headlight rack.  The rear tire has less than 200 miles on it and it has a new air and oil filter installed, rear drive serviced with just over 100 miles since serviced.  The bike is ready to ride and take you anywhere with no problems.  It is for sale locally and I retain the option to list on other sites.  REASON FOR SELLING:  I am 69 years old now and have had knee surgery on both knees.  Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.  I have tried to take pictures that show the bike from all angles but will send more to serious bidders if needed.  The millage on the bike will change because I intend to continue to ride when able.  If you check the blue book value with the added options you will find it is listed well below suggest retail.  Thank for bidding.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.
