Kawasaki Vulcan description

I have for sale a clean daily rider. I bought this from its first owner just last year and rode it for several months until I bought another bike. Now I am attending college and just really need the money more than I need another bike. As such I am willing to part with this bike for far less than it is worth. This bike features a 500cc in-line twin, water cooled engine with only 9200 miles. Chrome accents on tank and fenders. Good windshield and usable saddlebags. Chrome highway bars and engine guards. Quiet, stock, slip on dual exhaust means it is unlikely to disturb the neighbors. Nearly new Dunlop 404 with dynabeads and nitrogen on the rear, will need a new front soon but it should be fine for a few more miles. All the lights work and are in good condition. This bike averages about 52MPG when I ride, but it could achieve more if you ride conservatively. This bike is low weight and has a low seat height but still feels like the full sized bike it is. This bike does not feel like a toy, unlike some other small displacement bikes. Easy to handle, it still has plenty of power for the highway, even with larger riders or riding two-up. This is the perfect bike for new riders or someone looking for a good reliable commuter. Would also make a great gas saver for a college student.

Very few issues with the bike. Only problems are a dent and scratch on the right side of the tank, and a crack in the inner pipe of right header. The header is a double walled chrome affair and the crack does NOT affect performance or cause any problems whatsoever. These are very minor issues and will not need fixing to ride.

At the conclusion of the auction I will require a $200 deposit through Paypal within 48 hours and the remainder in cash on pickup (No Checks). Shipping or pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. I can however, hold the bike until arrangements can be made.

Again this is a very clean reliable bike that I really just need to get out from under me. You will not be disappointed in your purchase.

Kawasaki Reveals Supercharged Inline-Four Engine

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Kawasaki announced it is developing what it calls the world’s first supercharger developed by a motorcycle manufacturer. The giant Japanese company called on its extensive experience in working with turbine engines, and distilled the technology for motorcycle applications, showing a supercharged Inline-Four engine at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. No details were given on the size of the sample engine, though diagrams included in Kawasaki’s patent applications for motorcycle superchargers include one image that looks vaguely similar to the Ninja ZX-14R.
