Kawasaki Vulcan description

2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Drifter, Just in time for summer - The Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Drifter motorcycle makes the ultimate nostalgic statement. Although the Drifter takes full advantage of modern features such as digital fuel injection, dual 36mm throttle bodies and a catalytic converter on California models, its neo-retro appearance recalls the sweeping grace of the late 1940s. Setting the Drifter apart is its distinctive styling, with deep, sculpted fenders that cover much of the spoked wheels. The wide solo seat resembles sprung seats of years past, and a single fish-tail muffler juts rebelliously out the back. The engine covers, headlight shell, fork and shock covers, handlebar and clamp, rear fender rail, and license plate bracket are all chrome-plated.

Isle of Man TT 2012: Lightweight TT Results

Mon, 11 Jun 2012

Ryan Farquhar earned his third ever Isle of Man TT win in the return of the Lightweight TT class. Absent since the 2009 Isle of Man TT with 250cc machines, the 2012 iteration of the Lightweight class features 650cc twins such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (or ER-6F, as it’s known on that side of the Pond) which most competitors rode. The race was moved back to Saturday, June 9, after rain forced organizers to cancel the initially-scheduled Friday race.

2022 Kawasaki Z650RS Review - First Ride

Retro-styling on a middleweight favorite. Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing “I’m not a fan of the Darth Vader looks.” It’s a line we hear often whenever we test one of Kawasaki’s sporty bikes, especially from the Z family of naked bikes. Internally known as the Sugomi design language, Kawasaki says “Someone, or something, possessing sugomi inspires awe, leaves an indelible impression, is daunting in stature or ability, and commands respect.” Maybe it does, or maybe it doesn’t, but angular lines and sharp creases also alienate a section of the motorcycling world who like the modern tech and power from Kawasaki’s Z line, but could do without the sugomi styling.
