Kawasaki Vulcan description

Adult owned, Garage kept, In like new condition except for tiny ding in left side of gas tank. (see photos) This motorcycle has less than 7700 actual miles. It has new Michelin tires and a new gel-pack battery. The Vulcan series are cruisers, but when Kawasaki wanted to build a 500 CC model, they used the same engine that they use on their Ninja series racing bikes. It features dual overhead cams and a 6 speed transmission and is very fast. It has a cruiser seat with a low center of gravity so it is very stable. It is liquid cooled for long engine life and stability. Price includes a set of throw over saddlebags. This was built in 1991, but as anyone who knows motorcycles will tell you, the year is much less important than the miles and how it was kept up. It has been adult owned and garage kept since it was new and the engine design was ahead of its time. With less than 7700 miles on it, it is barely broken in and should offer many years of enjoyment.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 — over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record —in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.
