Kawasaki Other description

This bike is probably the finest example of a ZX11 you'll ever see! The list of things NOT modified in some way or another is WAAAAYYY shorter than the list of things that have. Most obvious is the VFR 750 single-sided swing arm and beautiful (at least to me) paint job. Bike is also wearing ZX9 inverted forks, AP racing 6-pot narrow track calipers, AP variable ratio master, PFM cast-iron buttonless narrow-track rotors, Ohlins shock, 41mm Keihin FCR's, Wiseco 2mm over pistons, Cylinder head porting and piston prep done by "Pizza John" Mafaro, re-degreed cams, Mr. Turbo oil pan, Corbin gunfighter seat, '98 ZX7 dual-headlights in heavily modified ZX11 upper fairing. Lots of little things that are nice eye candy! Bike dyno'd at 181 RWHP. DOESN'T handle like a ZX11 at all (and I mean that in a GOOD way).
For the person that likes to have something a bit different from the crowd, this is the ticket.
Open to discuss trades OR less money.

ZX-10R. Worth the weight?

Thu, 18 Nov 2010

The whisper on pit lane is that 2011 will be a good year for the green K. Our moles within the racing circles tell us that apart from more power and less weight (always handy), the new ZX-10R's main advantage is not these two factors but rather its improved weight distribution, weight transference qualities and grip levels. Studying Tom Syke's lap time data from Kawasaki's public test sessions it seems it's much easier for him to maintain consistent fast lap times back-to-back over the whole range of tyre degradation and fuel load changes.

Kawasaki Announces 2015 Vulcans

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

Today Kawasaki released the list of its not-particularly-updated but available in 2015 returning models in the Vulcan line. The big news of these announcements is that the two 1700 Vulcans received a $2,000 price reduction from last year. That’s right, a price reduction.

Kawasaki Reveals Supercharged Inline-Four Engine

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Kawasaki announced it is developing what it calls the world’s first supercharger developed by a motorcycle manufacturer. The giant Japanese company called on its extensive experience in working with turbine engines, and distilled the technology for motorcycle applications, showing a supercharged Inline-Four engine at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. No details were given on the size of the sample engine, though diagrams included in Kawasaki’s patent applications for motorcycle superchargers include one image that looks vaguely similar to the Ninja ZX-14R.
