For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.

In addition to the upgraded basic version, the SE version with semi-active suspension is presented. For the 2019 model year, the asphalt tourer, built around a 1,043cc (120 hp and 102 Nm) inline-four, received an electronic throttle, cruise control, KTRC traction control, and Sport, Road, Rain and Rider power modes to choose from.
