2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.

Kawasaki Ninja Nights, Laguna Seca, Only Two Days Away!

We’ve posted about this before, but we thought it was time for a quick reminder about the first ever Kawasaki Ninja Nights which will be happening this Saturday July 12, 2014 from 4:00–9:00pm next to the Kawasaki display in the Marketplace of Mazda Raceway. Festivities will include a three category bike show, featuring one class sponsored by Motorcycle.com. Voting for the show takes place from 4:30–7:30pm.
