2013 Kawasaki Versys, The Versys handles a variety of riding conditions, from commuting to backroads. The Versys has a 649cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with digital fuel injection (DFI), a long-travel fork, Adjustable single-shock rear suspension, and aluminum swingarm and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels.
It borrows design elements from dual-purpose bikes, standards, adventure-tourers and sportbikes; sharing characteristics of all, but not neatly fitting into any of the above mentioned categorys. If versatility were a sport, the Kawasaki Versys sportbike would be its champion. Gifted with calm manners and a comfortable riding position while commuting, a serious sporty attitude while carving in the canyons and the ability to urge you farther during a backroads tour, the Versys is a fitting companion for just about any adventure. Kawasaki Reports Q1 2011-2012 Results
Tue, 02 Aug 2011Kawasaki reported a 8.7% decrease in motorcycle sales over its first quarter ended June 30, 2011. The motorcycle and engine division (which includes ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft and general purpose engines) generated sales of 59.8 billion yen (US$775.4 million) , a decrease from the 65.5 billion yen (US$848.9 million) reported from the same period last year. Overall, Kawasaki Heavy Industries reported a profit of 9.56 billion yen (US$123.8 million) over the quarter, compared to a profit of 5.88 billion yen (US$76.2 million) reported last year.
