Kawasaki Other description

Hi everyone,

You're bidding on my 2009 Kawasaki Versys with 20,8xx miles on it. Unfortunately, work and travel don't permit me to ride nearly as often enough, so I want to find this guy a new home.

The bike is completely stock with the exception of the side mirrors. The tires are almost new: Michelin Road Pilot 3's with less than 1000 miles on them. Also got a new chain put on within the last 500 miles. I've taken really good mechanical care of this bike. It's been serviced at Solo Moto in Greenwich, and I frequently clean and lube the chain, check the oil, tire pressure etc. The bike has never been down, and it's in perfect mechanical condition.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Versys, this bike does it all. It's the perfect bike for the urban rider--- commanding view, narrow and maneuverable in traffic. But it's also just as home in the twisties, and it can conquer the curves like a sport bike. It's also great for touring... speaking of which, I'm including with this sale my Givi E52 Maxia hard case (which you can see in some of the pictures). This thing will hold 2 full face helmets or a really large bag for a weekend (or longer) trip. I will also throw in a larger V-Stream Sport Windshield (not pictured) which is great for long distances.

I can show the bike most evenings if you're local, so we can set something up. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Thanks!

I forgot to mention in the original description... the only cosmetic imperfections are a couple small scuffs on the side down near the left foot beg. This is not from any sort of drop (the bike has never been dropped). Most likely from some garage maneuvering or some gravel (the scuffs were there when I purchased it used).

Behind The Scenes: The Making Of the Ninja ZX-6R vs The Isle of Man Video

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

You may remember last fall’s release of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R was accompanied by a mind-blowing short video commercial of a rider screaming around the 37.33-mile Isle of Man TT course aboard the new 636 Ninja. Now, Team Green has just released a “Making Of” video about the production of that video, featuring TT star James Hillier.  This behind-the-scenes short film shows the crew capturing Hillier as he passes within millimeters of the camera. You’ll see the camera-equipped pursuit bike racing side-by-side with Hillier, as well as the aerial heli-cam.

Kawasaki Recalls 20,512 Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R

Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall on 2008-2011 Ninja ZX-10R and the 2009-2012 Ninja ZX-6R sportbikes due to a defect affecting the batteries. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the regulator/rectifier on affected units may not sufficiently charge the battery. As a result, the battery may unexpectedly be fully discharged, causing the engine to stall.
