Kawasaki Other description

2002 KAWASAKI VN750 Vulcan, This is a good condition 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan, ready for the road. It has been through our service department's detailed inspection as well as having the oil changed, carbs tuned and adjusted, and valve clearances checked and adjusted. All systems (ignition, electrical, fuel & air, drivetrain) have been inspected and serviced where necessary.Powered by a liquid-cooled, double overhead cam 749cc V-twin engine, the Vulcan 750 is powerful and low-maintenance. Liquid cooling increases overall engine durability. Plus, the engine itself is rubber-mounted within the double-cradle, high-tensile steel frame to reduce vibration at the handlebar and footpegs.A low-maintenance shaft drive transmits power from the five-speed transmission to the beefy 15-inch rear wheel. Plus, the easy-shifting gearbox features Kawasaki’s exclusive Positive Neutral Finder, which allows for easy and accurate shifting from first into neutral when stopped. Air-assisted rear shocks with four clicks of rebound damping adjustment offer a smooth and controlled ride, while dual front discs provide reliable stopping power. Full instrumentation, including both coolant-temperature and fuel-level gauges, and a center stand are standard fare. With its stepped seat, pulled-back bars and aluminum wheels, the Kawasaki Vulcan 750 embodies the style of the original metric cruiser. It’s also easy to own and maintain, thanks to a high-tech V-twin engine and shaft drive.

Scorpion silencer for Z800e

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

PERFORMANCE exhaust manufacturer Scorpion has launched a silencer for Kawasaki's Z800e which it says adds 4.9bhp while shaving 5.4kg off weight. The Z800e is Kawasaki's A2-friendly version of the Z800, with claimed power reduced from 111 to 94bhp. A2 licence holders limited to 47bhp can ride a machine which has been restricted but it must not have made more that 94bhp to begin with, making the Z800e eligible.

Get down on your knees and play

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
