24" Cee-Bailey Aircraft Plastics windshield. Bergmen Engineering spin on oil filter adapter. Gen-Mar bar risers. OEM Kawasaki GTR1000 fairing extenders.. Accel super coils. All new brake pads 8-21-13. Avon Venom tires are about 1/2+ worn. This bike always starts instantly and runs great. Everything works as it should. Very low miles for a year 2000. I use it daily so miles will increase. Tail trunk (J.C. Whitney) and small rack. Custom fiberglass front fender extension keeps oil cooler and radiator clean and protected. There are a few very small scratches on the front fender. I have all original parts except the windshield. Ride this bike to work or across the country. I bought this from a retired gentlemen in 2006. Please no trade offers although may consider a GL1500 with cash adjustment. Pick up only, but may consider delivery between Woodridge, Il, and Lake Geneva, Wi. (on my schedule) as I ride that route frequently. AMA Supercross: 2012 Daytona Results
Mon, 12 Mar 2012James Stewart gave his 2012 AMA Supercross championship hopes a much needed boost with a big win in sloppy, muddy conditions at Daytona International Speedway. Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.
Steam Punk Bike
Wed, 19 Jan 2011This steam-punk inspired bike is the work of LA based sculptor and, er, free thinker, Baron Margo. From what we can work out is uses an early eighties air-cooled Z1000 Kawasaki as a base and is cloaked in this hand beaten alloy and copper bodywork. Can’t imagine it’s much fun in a cross wind, though.
Preliminary 2012 MotoGP Entry List Released
Fri, 13 Jan 2012The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released a preliminary entry list for the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. The provisional list includes 21 riders in the premiere class, including nine classified as Claiming Rule Team entries. Defending MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner will wear the #1 plate for the 2012 season, the first with both CRT entries and the new 1000cc engine displacement cap.
