2000 Kawasaki W 650, Rare 2000 model year W650 in good condition. 17200 miles. Always garaged. I'm the second owner, and have only put about 2000 miles on it since I bought it 5 years ago. Love the bike, and it makes me happy every time I get on it, but I just don't ride enough to justify keeping it around. Cosmetically it looks great. Good chrome, no scuffs or tears on the seat, etc. The only cosmetic issue is that the first owner scratched the tank on the left side. He repainted the blue section and it's a perfect color match to the right side, but doesn't have the same glossy clear coat finish. You can't detect it in pictures, and it's not even obvious in person, but I wanted to point it out. Mechanically, everything works as it should. Recent carb overhaul and new battery. Starts easily and runs well with both electric start and kick start. Comes with removable after market windshield and shop manual. Many more pics available. Cash or cashiers check only. The slip-on silencer requires no additional modifications: bolt on and go.Consistent power improvements throughout the rev range have been seen, with no adjustments to the fuelling, say Scorpion, with an average increase 3bhp.The new silencer has been acoustically developed to provide a greatly enhanced engine note. This means the bike will be as loud as the original in terms of a dB reading, but the exhaust note offers a deeper growl. However, removable baffles allow the rider to dramatically alter the tone of the exhaust by simply removing one bolt per silencer.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
