For starters this was the first year of production of the ZX12R. They produced 1000's of green bikes but only 450 red. As of 2 years ago US DMV records showed only 9 red as being registered. That being said along with being a one owner bike showroom kept with only 2800 miles and all the extras mentioned in the listing I would say its RARE.

 I am listing this for an adult friend of mine . He has been a professional auto and motorcycle tech for over 45 years. Please refer ALL questions to him as I know very little about this RARE bike other than it is IMMACULATE. This is what I do know. It was purchased by him New 1n 2000 and has only 2814 miles. The motor is stock and has not been tampered with other than exhaust and a power commander. The 6"extended swingarm was custom fabricated by him.The wheels, swingarm, and other parts were chromed.The sprockets were replaced with anodized and chain was replaced with a heavy duty gold replacement. A high performance air shifter was added. Please do your Kawasaki homework as this is no run of the mill bike. Villopoto to Enter World Motocross Championship

Four-time consecutive AMA Superbike Champion Ryan Villopoto is ready to move on to the next stage of his career, signing on to represent Kawasaki in the World Motocross Championship in 2015. Villopoto will race in the newly- christened MXGP class. Formerly known as the MX1 class, MXGP allows 450cc four-stroke machines and 250cc two-strokes.

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.

2011 Isle of Man TT Recap

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
