Kawasaki Other description

171 e pleasant grove rd From the leggo my waffle crew at degrak.com comes this 1987 kawasaki kz305 ltd b2 motorcycle redish maroonish beast of burden. VIN jkakzlb1xha011240. Here be the deal mateys. It has not started in maybe 15 yrs or more. Thus the fuel that was left in the tank became stagnant and solidified. Our mechanical goober did some work on it. Here is what he says in his greasy voice. He put in new spark plugs, new oil filter, new air filter (see pics yall), changed oil, took off carburetors (which were fused shut), cleaned them and got them opening and closing again. Cleaned out the tank to an extent. We here are moving shop and need to get rid of this bike (and many other products and tools for that matter) so mechanic boy has no more time to work on it. Now no guarantee here, but he says that it is still clogged. Part of the tank he could not flush out (where two fuel lines connect). All the hoses really need to be replaced as there is some rotting. The fuel switch (primary to reserve etc) is most likely still clogged, as is the seperator (from tanks to carbs). It does not have a battery, however, as you can see in the pic, we have a new scorpion yt10l-a2 battery he pre-owned to test the electrical system on the bike (which works fine). The bike wants to fire and start and go cruising for chicks or chickens, but it be getting no fuel yall. We will sell you the battery for $25 if you buy the bike. It goes for about $55. (Just checked, we swear.) Also, the idiot secretary (no not me, the other one) bought two sets of spark plugs and an extra oil filter when he was buying the parts for the bike. Spark plugs go for about $3 each, and the oil filter is even more, so we will sell both for $5 if you buy the bike. As we said, bike was sitting in well-protected storage for a long time. Tires were low when mechanic started work, but have held air since. Might need new ones. Buy soon because if no 1 buys before we close shop, cannot take with us. It goes to the scrapyard. And yes we have title.degrak.com

Ninja Comes Back to Life

Mon, 27 Oct 2008

Kyle Dansie purchased his 1986 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 900 on eBay for $500. At the time, it had roughly 18,000 miles on it with only the tires, frame and suspension in working order. Kyle then managed to convert this motorcycle not only to run without gasoline, but to harness solar power to charge it.
