Kawasaki Other tech info
Kawasaki Other description
1982 KZ 1000 LTD, look at ALL the pictures, she's not yet museum quality yet, BUT dam close! It has new Bridgestone Spitfire White letter tires ( about 10 miles) fresh oil & filter, new gel battery, all guage lights work, gas guage, high beam, etc. Has ORIGINAL good exhaust, no leaks or pin holes, about 98% of these bikes have been changed to 4 into 1 headers by the cafe guys? I'm 60 so all my collection is original as I can get. Carbs are synced, brakes, idle, choke all function correct throttle response is crisp, crack it open and hang on she runs great! Need a new speedo cable I backed it off my hoist last week and yanked it out when it got caught on the crank handle...ouch! Inside of gas tank is as new condition. There's a little dimple on the tank in front next to seat, wouldn't photograph but wanted to mention. Chrome is good, re-paint on tank and side covers is really nice as is the perfect seat. These are really getting hard to find especially with original exhaust. The used exhaust's out there are pretty rough. Check out the period correct sissy bar, its real rare and perfect. I have the original mirrors, I just like the chrome ones better. I do not have the original air box. Check my rating.....my wife does my listings, check out the last picture of my climate controlled man cave. She's stored there with my collection, on a tender with Stabil in the tank. Don't pass this up, when they do come up for sale they are usually 1,000.00 to 2,000.00 more and still don't have the original exhaust. If I keep it till spring I probably won't sell it, if I do the price will be more. Clear title...I'll work with your shipper.....Good Luck bidding !

Oh hi there Mobil!
Wed, 07 Mar 2012There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.
Japan Needs Your Help
Thu, 17 Mar 2011By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.

The KX legacy began in 1974 with the KX250 which was based on the works machine ridden by AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Jimmy Weinert in 1973. The KX Dirt Domination page highlights the successes of the KX line over the last 40 years, including its astounding run in AMA Supercross and Motocross over the last decade.
