Kawasaki Other description

For sale is a 1982 Kawasaki GPZ750. 33000 miles/$1700 OBO. This bike runs good and is my daily commuter (via Interstate) for my 20 mile trip to work and back. Alas, I have 3 other bikes that I have been neglecting so its time to make room in my garage. The Good: -The bike is a difficult find in this condition mechanically (the 1982 GPZs are collector bikes) -The bike has never given me a problem when starting and it doesnt smoke -Carbs have been cleaned twice, oil has been changed recently, both front brakes have new pads, and both tires have less than 500 miles on them -No identifiable issues with brakes, clutch, transmission, tires, electronics, or exhaust. -Before I decided to sell the bike (last month), I took it in to Apex Sports to see what needed to be done to make it an even better ride. Their only suggestion was a carb sync. -Accelerates nicely and, as mentioned above, hits 75 on the freeway for my ride to work (6000 rpm = 75mph, redline is 10000) -Clean, clear title -Will include a manual, rear bearings, replacement rear brake pads and original turn signal and a replacement for a broken one. The Not So Good: -A sensor lights up randomly. I recently talked to another rider on the exact same make and model bike. He had the same issue on his bike and hes had it since 1982. -There are several cosmetic flaws on the tank and rear panel. They are slight for a bike that is 30 years old. -The windshield had some stains that were pretty bad so I sprayed the outside with truck bed linermaking the windscreen opaque. It looks pretty good if I say so myself but if you wanted to restore the bike, you would have to order a new one (Ive looked online and found a place that sells them for around $120) -Both rear turn signals have broken off (due to metal fatigue) but the right has been JB welded (held strong for over a year), and the left was professionally welded on last year.

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Earlier this year, we reported on Dakar racer Hugo Payen and his X-rated sponsor, pornographer Marc Dourcel. Payen seems to have started a trend as British MotoGP team Paul Bird Motorsports has signed a sponsorship deal with erotic movie website MinxFlix.com. The website will back PBM’s Michael Laverty and Yonny Hernandez who will ride on CRT machines featuring Aprilia V4 engines and its own proprietary chassis developed with builder GPMS.

New 1972 Kawasaki Z1 only £720

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

Looking at the pictures of Japanese firm Yamato's new Kawasaki Z1 you'd be hard pushed to tell it's not the real thing. But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.
