Kawasaki Other description

1978 Kawasaki Kz 650, The bike has 14560 original miles. I am the third owner and have a clean Georgia title for the bike. The paint is the original luminous blue with original graphics and emblems, it has signs of wear, but is in good shape considering age. The chrome and aluminum is very clean and in good shape as well. The 4 into 2 exhaust has some blemishes and bluing. The tires are lightly used. Throttle and clutch cables are new, so are the ignition coils, points, and condenser set. The carbs have been rebuilt with parts from a Kawasaki by J&R cycle. J&R cycle has also adjusted the valve lash. The bike may need to have the jets adjusted down a size toward lean, as it still takes a bit to warm up. The drive chain is showing wear and will need replacement, chains are around $60 online. The bike has aftermarket bars, grips, cat eye turn signals, headlight visor, fork gators, and bar and mirrors (not installed but included). All the original parts have been removed, tagged and will be included. Also included is the chilton's manual and two fairings, a cafe style viper, and the original vetter touring feining. Overall it's in very clean, good shape, even the 35 year old seat has no rips. Contact me and let's make it yours. $1,800.00 6787971041

2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 Traction Control [video]

Thu, 29 Oct 2009

With the new Concours, Kawi created its first traction control system. Unlike the ABS, the rider can disable or enable KTRC, and can do so on the fly. The new TC system isn’t level selectable, like, say, Ducati’s DTC, and it isn’t intended to allow a rider to go faster on their Connie.

WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.

WSBK: 2012 Misano Results – Video

Tue, 12 Jun 2012

Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.
