1976 Kawasaki Kz 900, Many hrs of planning on this frame-up restoration. This listing features a tastefully restored drag bike inspired Kawasaki kz900 with ultra rare fiberglass unibody by Tracy..a 70's period company based in Santa Barbara, CA. They designed these super cool, slim waisted bodies with a 3+ gallon fuel capacity and sold them on a very limited basis before going out of business in the early 80s. The body kits saved approx 14 lbs weight and lowers the center of gravity and cross section of the bike. The body kit has the original naugahyde seat too. Completed in May 2012, this kz900 has less than 60 miles since restoration with a clear Indiana title from the prior owner. WSBK to Make Fake Headlight Stickers Mandatory for 2013

World Superbike racebikes will be required to have fake headlight stickers on their race fairings to more closely resemble their production series counterparts. The new regulation, set to kick in for the 2013 WSBK season, was designed to establish a closer link between the production model and the race-trim superbike. The new rules will also mandate 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction

Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
