For sale. Nicely sorted 1975 Kawasaki Z1B, obviously non original paint. However the paint is period correct and tastefully done.The next owner can decide on original paint. Bike is numbers matching and only 12k miles from new.  Bikes starts runs excellent all lights, turn indicators and horn function properly. All engine covers, lower fork sliders have been polished and and new seals and oil installed in the forks. New tires chains sprockets. Exhaust pipes are 76 kz900 and are in good condition without any major rust or road rash, there is one minor scuff on the lower right and the number three pipe has scuffs where mounted to the head. They do have minor pitting as expected with 40 year old pipes. Previous owner had tapered steering bearings installed, they were cleaned grease as was the swing arm pivot bearings and wheel bearings.  As shown the Z1 has dealer installed dual front brakes and the 5/8 master cylinder has been rebuilt with genuine kawasaki parts. Bikes stops good! The bike has original mirrors, hand switches , perfect seat. Frame paint and white vin sticker original. Only reproduction parts are spokes chain sprockets tires . Most of the visible hardware has been re zinc plated. Only issue is the tachometer bounces a little and makes a little noise. Please keep in mind this bikes is not a 100% restoration only slightly refurbished, it's not perfect. Looks good runs good. Z1 will be sold with one original 755 key that fits ignition, steering and seat lock . Complete tool kit with feeler gauge and owners manual. The battery in the bike is old and a little weak it will need replaced. 

Bike sold as is no warranty and requires $200 deposit to cover fees.

WSBK: 2012 Misano Results – Video

Max Biaggi strengthened his hold on the 2012 World Superbike Championship lead with a pair of wins at Italy’s Misano circuit. The Aprilia rider out-battled the Althea Ducati duo of Carlos Checa and Davide Giugliano to win Race One before taking a relatively easier Race Two victory. Before the races, WSBK riders lined up on the starting grid to hold a banner expressing their support for the Emilia region in northern Italy which has been suffering from earthquakes and continuing aftershocks since late May.

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

The transforming Kawasaki J Concept was one of the highlights of the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, thanks to its futuristic styling that was like a cross between a Tron Lightcycle and the Batpod from Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy.
