Kawasaki Other description

The bike has new brake pads with the front brake rebuilt and converted over to dot 5. Z1 rims have new spokes and tires with 0mis. New cables, shocks, seat, battery, switch blocks, handle bars, grips, mirrors, seamless seven z fork ears and caps, oil and filter, spark plugs, directionals and a new dash and oem lock set. The previous owner had just painted the engine and frame and everything before I purchased it so the paint on the frame, triple trees, gauges and all the other painted parts are in brand new condition. The frame and engine #s are matching frame z1f- 5009 and the engine is z1e- 5001 The bike had a different exhaust and set of bodywork on it so it now has an old rare star racing exhaust that's in mint condition. The bodywork is a set of reproduction body work that does have a few spots running up the center top of the tank up to the gas cap that are lifted (small bubbles) thinking the weld was not clean when they painted it. Its hard to see unless your in the right light but the paint still looks very nice and this was my rider set that I would go to local bike shows with. The size of the bubbles have not changed the past few years I have owned it and they grow smaller as they travel up towards the gas cap. There is also 1 tiny chip being pointed out that's pin head size. Still has the original fenders and grab rail in decent shape. The DID chain and sprockets are in terrific shape. The lower forks have been chromed and the chrome is in good shape. The frame is very clean with no damage and everything works as it should. The bike runs and drives like new and does not smoke at all or leak any fluids. Its a very solid running motor with low miles. The white vin tag was removed on the neck but the vin is clearly stamped in the original frame. The bike comes as you see it there was no original exhaust, tool kit, owners manual, air box, center stand or chain oiler with it. THIS BIKE WAS PURCHASED IN NEW HAMPSHIRE WHICH DOES NOT TITLE OLDER VEHICLES SO IT COMES WITH A SIGNED REGISTRATION AND BILL OF SALE. THERE IS NO TITLE. I KNOW MANY TIMES WHEN SHIPPING OVERSEAS THEY ARE SHIPPED AS PARTS BIKES TO JAPAN ANYWAY. IF YOU ARE IN AUSTRALIA AND INTERESTED CONTACT ME AND I MAY BE ABLE TO GET YOU A TITLE FOR IT. ANY OTHER BUYERS IN THE US CAN GET A TITLE WITH THE REGISTRATION AND BILL OF SALE IN MOST STATES.'

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.
