Kawasaki Other description

This is a pretty special 1974 Z1.
Purchased from an estate, and believed to be a  one owner bike. It has a 1200 big bore kit, with 10.25-1 compression pistons- this allows premium street gas without knocking. With the stock carbs air box and exhaust, it is quite the sleeper. I haven't dogged it or "tested it out", but it is a lot faster than stock. It has a lot of pull down low and in the mid-range. If you wanted to add a set of race carbs and a mild cam the engine is ready for it.
When I got it, the tires were old, along with a few other things I have replaced.
-new tires, Dunlop K87 rear, IRC? front , new tubes
-new brake lines. master cylinder rebuilt
-new fork seals
-new seat
-new factory chain guard
-gauges restored by Z1 Resto- Bob Harrington with original miles showing
- nuts, bolts, rubber dampers
The bike has the complete factory chain oiler, center-stand and owners manual
Original paint on the side covers and tail and they look great. The tank might original too, but it is so nice I'm guessing it's been repainted or replaced.
The tank has a liner in it.
The front fender looks like new. The rear was re-chromed and looks new. The wheels and spokes are rust free and in very good condition.
The bike starts easily with the starter or kick and rides smooth, shifts like it should.
I am offering the bike with the exhaust it had on it when i got it- a J&R '70's 4-1 that is in very good condition. it exits on the left which is unusual
If you want the 4-4 exhaust shown in some of the pics we can work something out.
The stock air box will be on it when sold unless you prefer the K&N's
Bike is 43 years old, and isn't perfect, but it's a nice one.
It has matching frame and engine numbers, Z1F-30366/Z1E-30418. OEM key
Bike is registered, tagged and insured in Georgia. Ga is not a title state on vehicles pre '86. It can be titled in any state as well as exported.
IMHO the bike is fairly priced. You would be hard pressed to buy one and restore it to the level of this bike for what I'm asking.

This steam powered motorcycle (not a bicycle, 'cos it don't have no pedals), could be perfect for you if you like a brew at short notice on your Sunday ride. Built in 1894, it's about to be auctioned and is expected to reach a world record price (for a kettle). It uses a coal furnace to super-heat water into steam which is fed into a small engine.

Kawasaki Producing 599cc 2013 Ninja ZX-6R for Japanese Racing Homologation

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

When Kawasaki announced it was upping the engine displacement for the Ninja ZX-6R to 636cc, the immediate question on many Team Green fans’ minds was what it would mean for the company’s supersport racing efforts. Kenan Sofuloglu won the 2012 World Supersport Championship on a Kawasaki ZX-6R, but under the regulations, he may not be allowed to defend his title next season on the 2013 model as homologation requirements in Supersport racing series limit Inline-Fours to displacements smaller than 600cc. Fear not however, as Kawasaki will be producing a special version of the ZX-6R with an engine displacement of 599cc, the same as the 2012 version.
