Kawasaki Other description

For sale is a very nice 1974 Kawasaki F11, KE250 Enduro. It has 6,600 original miles, and runs like new. I would say this bike is 99.9 percent original, and has nearly every part and accessory it left the dealer with. You can tell it spent most of it's life garaged. The gauges still have excellent color and clarity. The original paint isn't perfect, but still has a nice shine. These classic 2 stroke enduros are rapidly becoming collectors items, and finding them in nice original shape is extremely rare. This bike pulls like a 4 stroke with at least twice the displacement, it shifts nicely through all 5 gears, the clutch feels solid, and brakes are in good shape. The bike feels well balanced when riding. This would be a great bike for a complete restore, to ride, or to keep as is for future collector value. I have had a many compliments on how nice this one looks. The bike has a new battery. The original grips are in near perfect shape, and the rubber lever covers are solid and the rubber is still like new. The rubber on the footpegs, shifter, and kickstarter show no wear whatsoever! It even has the original tool kit, and details like the snap wiring cover behind the headlight is still in great shape! The seat has a minor cut on one side that you can barely see, and another at the rear where it was rubbing on the back fender. Overall it is in outstanding shape for it's age, and in my opinion will rapidly appreciate in value over the next few years. I feel certain this bike has a lot of life left in it, and will give the new owner many trouble free hours of riding, but offer no warranty. The bike is sold AS IS, so please ask if you have any questions. Pick-up, or shipping is the buyer's responsibility. This bike does not have a title, bill of sale only. I can explain a fairly easy method to get one though. I will do my best to accommodate your shipping company, and can suggest inexpensive shipping. Full payment and pick-up are expected within 7 days unless other arrangements have been agreed upon.  Thanks for looking!

South West Motorcycle Show 2010, August 28th & 29th

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
