Hello Kawasaki Triple Fans, I am now offering the 1973 Kawasaki H2 750, 2 Stroke Triple you see, that has been my Personal Project, and Rolling Business Card, for about 16+ years. here is my H2's Novel;I got this H2 originally, in the early 90's, when I traded off a Yamaha TZ700 that I was in the middle of a rebuild/restore. Once I recognized/admitted to myself, that I wasn't going to bump start this TZ "street bike" (I'm a R Leg, BK Amputee), I traded most of it for cash, & this H2, in nice, 1973 stock form. I saved the TZ's EPM Magnesium Wheels (since they look identical to the H2R's Morris Mags) and had a very cool, Blue 72/73 H2 fuel tank that I pre-owned to built the original bike with (images/photo history included).Since it's last show, in 2006, at the San Diego Auto Museum's "Motorcycle's In The Park" Annual, Invitational (see pictures), it has been retired & covered, in a cool, dry storage container. The Battery was removed, carbs were drained and there is no fuel in the Air Tech H2R Replica Fiberglass Fuel Tank (that is equipped with a Pingle Fuel Tap, Oversized Fuel Lines & Filters). . It has Synthetic two Stroke Gear Oil in the Transmission, and Bel Ray Synthetic two Stroke Oil in the Oil Tank and Injection System.If you want a Very Exclusive Hot Rod of the Past, built intentionally as an "Upgraded", yet Old School (Meaning; Twin Shocks and Conventional Forks), Roadracing Motorcycle, here is a Unique, and properly setup example, of the World's 1st 750cc Superbike. This H2 is a competent high speed road bike, upgraded in so many ways. It's completely stable at the 135-140MPH speeds this unfaired bike will run. If you understand how I/we built it, you will realize it has been Overbuilt, with Upgraded Components designed years in the future. That Design Idea, has enhance my H2, like very few others who modify old school bikes have done.Regeared, this DENCO 90HP "Viper" Spec Engine Package is capable of a low 11 2nd 1/four mile times, with this set-up (TZ Style, recut Cylinder Heads, Mild Porting and Stinger Expansion Chambers), on 100+ Octane Race Gas. I've left stock, & properly jetted, 30mm carbs on it (with Ceramic Coated, Screened, Velocity Stacks), so it will run like stock in traffic, and get reasonable gas mileage (32-35mpg @ 65 mph, I've done it) when cruising. If you like more HORSEPOWER, then Mikuni 32 or 34mm carbs are a very easy modification. The motor was built in the mid 90's, with a stock, rubber sealed, ball bearing crankshaft (with Oil Shields), 2nd Over cast pistons, upgraded & reshimmed (per Kawasaki Service Bulletins) Transmission, fresh shift forks, Barnett Kevlar Clutch & Spring Kit, Ball Bearing Clutch Release Mechanism, Bead Blasted Engine Cases, Cylinders & Heads. Professionally Polished Engine Cases.This 750cc H2 has Trophied at the Del March Concours D'elegance, in the "Street Specials" Class.My bike has been invited to be shown for several years at the annual San Diego Auto Museum's "Motorcycle's In The Park" Show.It was Invited to, and shown at, the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in LA, sponsored by Cycle World Magazine. In 2006, it was shown at the Coronado Island Naval Base's "SRT Speed Challenge", Vintage Car & Motorcycle Show & Races, Invited by the San Diego Antique Motorcycle Club. I rode it a lot, in it's three previous incarnations, before it went to the current Cafe Racer Style. This H2 has about 800-XXXX miles since I've owned and rebuilt it. I can't remember what it had when I 1st got it, but that bike is mostly gone, and replaced with new!! Other than the steel frame itself, my H2 is Fibre Glass, Aluminum and Magnesuim. A 400 pound, 100hp, old school two stroke missile my friend.!!!!!!!! NICE!I wish I'd had this Beast back when I was roadracing triples!!!!!!!!No miles have been put on it since I built it into this full cafe racer version (my prosthesis won't fold up enough to sit these rear sets). :-(There are a lot of new rubber bits on the chassis. The Chassis Hardware was Cadium Plated. The Engine Hardware was Zinc Plated.The Expansion Chambers and Velicity Stacks were recently Ceramic Coated the New "Titanium" color.This machine has period correct, German "RAASK" Rear Sets installed. The stock foot controls will still bolt back onto the frame if desired. It has 13.5" long, Twin Gas Shocks (Custom Sprung & Valved Works Performance). The Front Forks have been converted to those from a Yamaha FJ1200. That is because they have MUCH larger & stronger 43mm (instead of 36mm) fork tubes, Anti Dive System (good to keep that center chamber off the road through our So. Cal. rain dips), Alloy Upper and Lower Clamps, Adjustable Damping & Preload. The H2 Steering Stem, was remachined and pressed into the FJ lower fork clamp, so I could use the K&L Tapered Steering Bearing Kit for the H Series Triples. I have had adapted, the H2 Meters Bracket, to the FJ1200 Upper Triple clamp, and there are NOS Speedometer and Tachometer Gauges & Housings. The Speedo is not connected, since there are no provisions for a speedo drive, in the racing TZ front wheel.Frankly, if you know what the RPM in top gear is, at 65 mph, what more do you need to know? Besides, back in the day, this bike will hammer the National 55mph Speed Limit, in 1st Gear!!!!!!!!!The FJ's Alloy, Clip-On Style, Handle bars, with New Silicone Grips, have been modified for a wider angle and are sport touring comfortable. All of the Aluminum on the Front Fork Tubes and Triple Clamps have been Professionally Polished. The Wheels are EPM (Brand) 18" Magnesium Roadrace wheels for a TZ750 (2.5"x18" Fr & 3.5x18" Rr). All of the Axles, Spacers, and Swing Arm Pivot Bolt, were fabricated to adapt all of the Upgrade Pieces to this machine.The Rear Aluminum Sprocket was custom made to bolt onto the TZ700/750 Wheels, but have the proper tooth count (15/49) for this modified H2.The Twin, Front, Brembo, four Piston, Magnesium Calipers, are mounted with Custom Alloy Brackets.The Black Powdercoated, Alloy Swing Arm is from a Kawasaki GPz750 Turbo. It has Eccentric Axle Holders that adjust chain tension, wheel base and ride height. It was narrowed (and the frame was milled for a larger dia. swing arm pivot bolt) to fit the H2 chassis. The Swing Arm's Needle Bearings were retained. It has specially fabricated , three mount bolt hole brackets, in the lower shock mounts, to allow ride height changes and different shock lengths.This bike has a rear GPz550 Disc Brake Caliper, with metallic pads & custom bracket, plus a Drilled Yamaha TZ250 Cast Iron Rr Rotor (hence the surface rust, which will clean up easily). The Rr GPz550 Master Cyl needs to be mounted. I'm a BK R Leg amputee, so, even when I was road racing, I never use(d) the rear brake, and finishing it just never was a priority. YOU might want it to be. ;-)All of the (Dupont "Hot Hues" Urethane ) Painted "Burnt Orange Pearl" Cafe Racer Bodywork (with Custom 73 H2 Graphics), has Aerospace Engineered Brackets, & 1/4 turn Dzus Fasteners, can be removed, and stock bodywork (Tank, Seat, Tail Section) bolted back on. The Fuel Tank is a Fiberglass Air Tech H2R Replica, and the Custom Redesigned & Upholstered Solo Seat is from a 70's fiberglass bodywork fabricator (like Air Tech) named Camber Company.Nothing has been molested on the H2 frame brackets, so that a stock tank, seat and tail could be reinstalled without modification. The Black Powdercoated & Braced (as Per Rob North) Modified H2 Chassis, and Modified H2 Engine were Custom Built by Boots Triples, La Mesa, Ca., with EXTENSIVE help from;Rich Pollock, Mule Motorcycles, Poway, Ca (aerospace style & designed bodywork brackets, chassis component procurement & fabricated chassis components)Rob North, Rob North Fabrications, Natl City, Ca (Roadrace style/sprung, expansion chamber brackets and frame bracing)Floyd's Machine, San Diego, Ca (engine machining) I consider this to be a $20K, Custom Built, Roadracing Class, H2 750 Motorcycle, that I'm willing to deal on.Please be realistic in your offer.I'll be glad to offer Tech Support after the sale. At least Honda’s had the decency to change its nomenclature over the years to give the impression of evolution. Kawasaki is standing pat with the 292 cc Single that’s powered its KLX since 1996, along with its KLX nomenclature.
2014 Kawasaki World Superbike Team Launch
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Kawasaki officially launched its 2014 World Superbike Championship campaign, introducing its three-rider lineup of reigning World Champion Tom Sykes, Loris Baz and David Salom along with the Ninja ZX-10R superbike. The Japanese manufacturer also used the launch party in Barcelona, Spain, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Ninja line which began with the 1984 Kawasaki GPZ900R. Kawasaki revealed a special 30th anniversary logo which will be featured on the side fairings of the 2014 Ninja ZX-10R superbike’s livery.
Two Electric Kawasaki Streetbikes Coming for 2023
Tue, 02 Aug 2022Two models revealed in VIN decoder Earlier this year, Kawasaki revealed its first electric two-wheeler, but a lot of people were disappointed when they realized it was a kids’ balance bike called the Elektrode. Those hoping for an electric streetbike from Kawasaki won’t have to wait too much longer, as we can confirm two new models will be coming to the U.S. for the 2023 model year.
