Kawasaki Ninja description

2013 KAWASAKI NINJA ZX-6R, The Middleweight King Returns to Rule the StreetsThe new 2013 Ninja ZX -6R marks the return of a middleweight sportbike legend, three numbers that strike fear into the heart of the competition: six...three...six. It is a tradition born of street cred and racetrack domination, a performance boost offered at the same price as the competitions regular six hundreds, and its a machine that screams Performance Counts! The new ZX-6R honors a dominating family tradition started ten years ago with the first 636, a revolutionary machine that blew-away the competitions 600's on the street and won races against factory 750's on the track.

Riding Impressions Of The Virginia Tech Bolt+ Video

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

During last weekend’s round of the eMotoRacing series, held at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the series had a special entry. Mixed among the Brammo TTXs and Empulse Rs that are normally seen in the series, the Bolt II electric motorcycle from Virginia Tech University filled a grid slot amongst them. Here, series founder, promoter and competitor, Arthur Kowitz tells us what it’s like to ride this completely student-built electric racing motorcycle.

Scorpion silencer for Z800e

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

PERFORMANCE exhaust manufacturer Scorpion has launched a silencer for Kawasaki's Z800e which it says adds 4.9bhp while shaving 5.4kg off weight. The Z800e is Kawasaki's A2-friendly version of the Z800, with claimed power reduced from 111 to 94bhp. A2 licence holders limited to 47bhp can ride a machine which has been restricted but it must not have made more that 94bhp to begin with, making the Z800e eligible.

ZX-10R. Worth the weight?

Thu, 18 Nov 2010

The whisper on pit lane is that 2011 will be a good year for the green K. Our moles within the racing circles tell us that apart from more power and less weight (always handy), the new ZX-10R's main advantage is not these two factors but rather its improved weight distribution, weight transference qualities and grip levels. Studying Tom Syke's lap time data from Kawasaki's public test sessions it seems it's much easier for him to maintain consistent fast lap times back-to-back over the whole range of tyre degradation and fuel load changes.
