WSBK: 2012 Miller Results

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Kawasaki Giving Away 820 Vehicles in Good Times Sales Event Promotion

Kawasaki is giving away a free 2011 Ninja 250R or Bayou 250 ATV at each of 820 participating dealerships across the U.S. as part of its “Good Times Sales Event” promotion. The contest also features a number of instant win prizes ranging from discounts on accessories and service to Green Day music downloads to one of four 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaqurero cruisers.

The Best Racetrack You’ve Never Heard Of

Last week I had the opportunity to ride one of the best tracks in the world, but you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s called the Autopolis International Racing Course and is located in northern Kyushu, Japan, a 90-minute bus ride from the nearest city, Kumamoto. Autopolis is a wonderfully flowing, 2.9-mile track that rises and falls like a symphonic overture, with inclines that range up to 7.2% uphill, 10% downhill.
