Kawasaki Ninja description

I will start by saying I do not need to sell my bike. The only reason I'm even considering selling it is because I'm thinking about getting a new KTM 690 Enduro R for myself and a Kawasaki KLX250S for my wife.

The bike runs fantastic and is a ton of fun to ride. I bought it brand new planning to do road trips riding two up with my wife but since then she has started riding her own bike. So now it mainly sits in the garage and gets ridden around town once a week. It currently has 41xx miles and will continue to go up as I still enjoy riding the bike. I just put a new set of Michelin 2ct tires on it less than 500 miles ago. It's ready to ride anywhere.

If you are familiar with these bikes then you know how amazing they are. The engine for the 2012+ models have larger displacement engines producing 200 hp and has butter smooth power delivery. The traction control keeps you in check if your right hand gets overzealous. Honestly there is no need for anymore than quarter throttle. The bike is perfectly happy cruising around at 2000 rpm without breaking a sweat. For being a so called "heavyweight" machine, it feels surprisingly nimble and is wonderful for cruising down curvy back roads. Kawi did a great job with the suspension on this bike. great handling but with a Cadillac smooth ride. I added a double bubble windscreen for better wind protection on the highway and aftermarket slip on exhaust mainly to reduce weight compared to the huge ufo looking mufflers. For longer distance rides I wanted to add handlebar risers, aftermarket seat, and luggage bags but haven't yet.

I work the night shift and sleep during the day so I prefer text and I will get back to you as soon as possible. My time is extremely valuable to me. Please don't waste it unless you are seriously interested in the bike. My number is 573-797-nineteen ninety-two. Thank you for looking.

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

Speed and Fuel TV to Broadcast Kawasaki’s Zero to Hero Challenge Starting This Week

Tue, 14 Aug 2012

Early this year, thousands of drag racers chased the dream and entered Kawasaki’s nationally-promoted “Zero to Hero Challenge,” hoping for the opportunity to face-off against multi-time champion Rickey Gadson and take home a new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. Beginning this week, Speed and Fuel TV will broadcast the Zero to Hero Challenge across several time slots. Both cable networks will treat viewers to an inside look at the process all contestants went through on their way to challenging Gadson on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip in May.

More Teasers for the 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Kawasaki has released another teaser for its upcoming revised ZX-14, now dubbed ZX-14R. In the first video, a couple of numbers are cryptically displayed: 84 x 65mm. This is a thinly veiled reference to its bore and stroke dimensions, indicating the biggest Ninja received a 4mm stroke elongation, which would bump the bike’s displacement from 1352cc to 1441cc.
