The Best Racetrack You’ve Never Heard Of

Last week I had the opportunity to ride one of the best tracks in the world, but you’ve probably never heard of it. It’s called the Autopolis International Racing Course and is located in northern Kyushu, Japan, a 90-minute bus ride from the nearest city, Kumamoto. Autopolis is a wonderfully flowing, 2.9-mile track that rises and falls like a symphonic overture, with inclines that range up to 7.2% uphill, 10% downhill.

The 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season resumes this weekend with the Subway SuperBike Doubleheader at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wis., and all eyes will be on 21-year-old AMA Pro SuperBike rookie Cameron Beaubier on the No. 2 Monster Energy Graves Yamaha YZF-R1. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Z-Series, the Greens have prepared colorways for two families of motorcycles that replicate the look and feel of the legendary Kawasaki Z1 from 1972. At the same time, the color and graphic schemes of the neo-retro motorcycles - Z900RS and Z650RS - will be as close as possible to those of the historical Z1 model, and the Z900 and Z650 street will receive a creatively redesigned coloring, referring, nevertheless, to the roots of the Z-series.
