Kawasaki Ninja description

2009 Kawasaki Ninja 500R, Available Now!Practicality is the Kawasaki s Ninja 500R s biggest asset as it strikes an ideal balance between function, form and budget that s rarely achieved in the sport bike world. A sensible sportbike, the 500R is ready to rip, yet remains friendly enough for beginners to feel confident in its manners. At the heart of this excellent platform is the Ninja 500R s 498cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder four-stroke engine. With dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder, the robust motor is both beginner-friendly and rousing to expert riders. No slouch, this half-liter engine has enough gusto to let novices expand their skills and keep even the most seasoned riders quite happy exploring the upper end of its rev range.

Motorcycle Sidecar is Literally a Car

Tue, 21 Jul 2009

Adjectives fail me.  This almost seems like one of those sci-fi movies where an evil scientist tries to cross two deadly animals together to create the ultimate killing machine. So what are we looking at?  It seems to be the deformed love child of a Citroën Xantia and a Kawasaki 1000 RX. This custom project, called “Snaefell“, cost its creator about 15000 Euros and 10 years of part time work.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days A Rousing Success

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

AMA members and motorcyclists from across the country celebrated the people, machines and sport of motorcycling at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, over the July 19-21 weekend. The annual gathering of tens of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts participated in vintage racing, took in numerous bike shows, met their motorcycling heroes, purchased vintage parts and motorcycles in the massive swap meet, spent time with old friends, and met new ones, all at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The AMA and the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, extend their appreciation to AMA members, racers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers, fans, clubs, companies and others who supported the three-day celebration of motorcycling’s history and heroes.

Randy de Puniet's custom W650

Fri, 16 Dec 2011

MotoGP star Randy de Puniet commissioned Deus customs to build him a motorcycle for the streets of Sydney. Randy's brief was for a middleweight, 2-up twin that would be light enough to slice through the city streets and have the power for blasts on the open road, and have orange, black and white for the paint. Deus chose the Kawasaki W650, lowered it at both ends, fitted an SR500 tank, lobbed the old air box and added K&N filters, stuck on a custom 2-into-2 exhaust system and added low-profile fenders to finish off the clean and simple look.
