Kawasaki Ninja description

This bike is in great mechanical condition.  Special edition paint job.  Includes rear seat cowl and original passenger seat.  Fender eliminator kit installed.  Frame sliders installed.  Clear title in hand.

I purchased this bike in the spring of 2012 with 3,400 miles on it, and the current milage is just under 6,900 miles.  From my conversation with the previous owner, I am the third owner of the bike as he bought it from a friend who was moving and didn't want to take it with him.

There are a few cosmetic flaws that I have shown in the pictures: 2 small cracks in the front right fairing from the previous owner, a scratch on the gas tank caused by a belt buckle, and some paint wear near the foot pegs from boot contact.  The tires have normal wear for the milage.  I had the oil changed shortly after I bought the bike so it is due for another change soon. It can take 2 or 3 tries to start it if it hasn't been ridden recently (a common characteristic of this model), but if riding a couple of times a week it has no problem.

Over the 2012-2013 winter, the bike was stored in an unheated garage but was thoroughly prepped for the winter.

Would prefer local pick up, but if you want it shipped you can arrange that on your own.  I recently moved to CA, but the bike is at a friends house in NH who has been riding it on occasion over the summer so that it doesn't sit.  I will put you in touch with him to coordinate a pick up if you purchase.

Thanks for looking!

Hopkins to Sit Out 2013 Racing Season to Recover from Injuries

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

American John Hopkins announced he is taking a sabbatical from racing for 2013 to recover from a number of significant injuries. Hopkins’ once very promising racing career has been hampered by both a series of bad luck and injury. It seems so long ago that Hopkins finished fourth overall in the 2007 MotoGP Championship with Suzuki.

2014 AMA Supercross – Detroit Results

Mon, 17 Mar 2014

Yoshimura Suzuki‘s James Stewart captured his third win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season and 48th 450 class victory of his career, tying him with Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time win list behind Jeremy McGrath‘s 72. Racing before a crowd of 50,856 fans at Ford Field in Detroit, Stewart took the lead from holeshot-taker Cole Seely shortly before the end of the second lap and led the rest of the 20-lap race for the win. Stewart led by as much as 7.1 second but eased off at the end, crossing the finish less than two seconds ahead of Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto.

Seeley On Form On First Night Of North West 200

Fri, 16 May 2014

Alastair Seeley took a double in the Ballymoney Borough council Supersport and Pirtek Superstock events at the start of racing at the Vauxhall International North West 200 this evening, what many “real” road racers refer to as the precursor to the Isle Of Man TT. In the Supersport race, the ‘Wee Wizard’ survived being caught up in a first lap crash at York hairpin that left him languishing in 16th to come through and win the opening race of the night on his Mar-Train Yamaha R6. Lee Johnston was the rider who went down in the first lap crash, causing Seeley to take evasive action to avoid going down himself.
