Plus, the cost of owning this Kawasaki is minimal, making it irresistible for experienced riders and beginners alike. Power for the NINJA 250R comes from a high-revving, liquid-cooled, in-line twin-cylinder four-stroke engine featuring dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. It delivers smooth, predictable power that’s perfect for new motorcyclists, yet its 14,000-rpm redline and six-speed transmission will bring a grin to the face of the most experienced sportbike rider. Like its larger siblings, the NINJA 250R features an aerodynamic faring, Kawasaki’s UNI-TRAK progressive rear suspension and high-performance disc brakes. Sun, 15 May 2022Twenty-five years ago, the 1997 Kawasaki ZX-6 had not yet grown an “R.” It came with a centerstand, dual exhausts, and weighed 430 pounds full of 4.8 gallons of unleaded fuel. The leaded stuff hadn’t been phased out until one year earlier, which may explain a lot about the mental condition of many of us Boomers. It was a great, inexpensive, do-anything motorcycle in other words.
EnduroCross Announces Rookies Class Instruction With Destry Abbott
Thu, 15 May 2014Three rounds of the 2014 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship will feature a special rookies class led by none other than Destry Abbott. These one-hour, on-track instructional sessions will take place on the Friday nights before the Sacramento, Atlanta and Salt Lake City events. So the first one is scheduled for Friday, June 20th prior to the Sacramento event.
